I currently live with my husband, two children and family dog in Western Massachusetts. I am not a fan of the cold and snow, but stay in New England to be close to the family and friends that fill me with warmth. After graduating from Westfield High School, I spent five years at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and earned my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. For the past twelve years, I have practiced as an RN in various settings. My latest adventures are in a busy, Level One Trauma Center and Emergency Department. I spend most of my time in the Pediatric ED. After the loss of my father and some other life changes, I began writing again. As a child, I found great enjoyment in creating stories but let it go when life got too busy. His death taught me that life is too short to wait for the right time to follow my heart. I've found great comfort, healing, and growth through rediscovering a part of me I left behind. In addition to writing, I enjoy reading, gardening, hanging out with my family and friends, and watching kids' movies, especially Disney. Mickey Mouse always has been and always will be my hero, as well as his creator, Walt Disney. |
